A person sleeping calmly as luminous currents of breath flow through the night

Vayun Medical Technologies

Sleep is not a luxury. It's the foundation of health.

Vayun Medical Technologies is building the future of sleep and chronic care — starting with the hundreds of millions of people worldwide living with untreated sleep apnea.

The Silent Epidemic

The problem hiding in plain sight

Nearly 1.3 billion people worldwide are estimated to have obstructive sleep apnea.1 In the United States alone, tens of millions are affected — and the majority remain undiagnosed.2

Sleep apnea is a condition in which breathing repeatedly stops and starts during sleep, sometimes hundreds of times per night. Each pause deprives the body of oxygen, fragments sleep, and places sustained stress on the heart, brain, and metabolism.

Most people who have it don't know. They know only the symptoms: exhaustion that no amount of coffee fixes, morning headaches, difficulty concentrating, irritability, and a partner who has stopped sleeping in the same room.

More Than a Sleep Problem

When sleep breaks, everything downstream breaks with it

Untreated sleep apnea is not just about feeling tired. It is deeply intertwined with the chronic diseases that drive the majority of healthcare spending and premature death.

01

Cardiovascular disease

Repeated oxygen drops and nighttime blood pressure surges strain the heart. Sleep apnea is strongly associated with hypertension, atrial fibrillation, heart failure, and stroke.

02

Type 2 diabetes

Fragmented sleep and intermittent hypoxia disrupt glucose metabolism and insulin sensitivity, making blood sugar harder to control.

03

Cognitive decline

The brain does its deepest maintenance during sleep. Chronic disruption is linked to memory impairment and accelerated cognitive aging.

04

Mental health

Depression and anxiety are significantly more common in people with untreated sleep apnea — and often improve when sleep is restored.

05

Daily safety and quality of life

Drowsy driving, workplace accidents, strained relationships, lost productivity. The costs compound quietly, year after year.

Treating sleep apnea is one of the highest-leverage interventions in all of chronic disease management.

The Treatment Gap

Effective therapy exists. Too many people abandon it.

Positive airway pressure therapy has been the gold standard for decades, and when used consistently, it works. Yet a large share of patients who start therapy struggle to stay with it, and many who need care never begin at all.3

The result is a staggering gap between what medicine knows and what patients experience — millions of people cycling through fatigue, worsening chronic conditions, and rising healthcare costs, all from a condition we know how to treat.

We believe that gap is not inevitable. We believe it's a design problem, a care problem, and an experience problem. And problems like that can be solved.

Our Mission

Why Vayun exists

Vayun was founded on a simple conviction: the way we care for sleep — and the chronic conditions connected to it — can be dramatically better.

Our team brings decades of experience across sleep medicine, medical devices, and chronic care delivery. We've sat with patients who gave up on therapy. We've worked alongside the clinicians who fight for them. We've seen what works, what fails, and why.

Now we're building what comes next.

We can't share the details yet — regulatory milestones come first — but our focus is unwavering.

Restore sleep

For people living with sleep apnea — therapy that people can actually live with, night after night.

Improve outcomes

Across the chronic diseases sleep touches — heart, metabolic, and cognitive health.

Support care teams

Better tools for clinicians managing long-term chronic care, built around real clinical workflow.
